For a Home Business you don’t really need much. What you do need you probably already have -
- A computer
- An internet connection
Hmm that’s pretty much it… or so you would think.
You also need information or intelligence. Not be intellegent, but intellegence, just another word for information. You need to know how to go about your business.
- What is your business? – selling, promoting, marketing, informing?
- How do you successfully go about you business?
- Who is your business targeting?
- What additional software do you need?
When you have your business up and running, you’ve found information on how to run a business (e-books, text books, subscribing to newsletters), you still have to implement what you have learnt.
NEWSFLASH Your business will not run itself.
So what is the most important tool for your home business?
For me it isĀ … pen and paper.
At the end of the day, with the pen I write on the paper a TO DO list.
From 1 – 5 a list of things to do tomorrow.
It may be 1. Write and send emails.
2. Write on blog.
3. Write and submit article.
4. Do keyword research.
5. Write product review.
I find it easier to use a pen and paper. You may like to use Microsoft Notepad. What you use doesn’t really matter, as long as you use something to write a To Do list.
For your business to be successfull, you must do something everyday that will increase your business.
Tip: Checking emails will do nothing for your business. Unless you are expecting an important email, leave checking your emails till the end of the day. It is far to easy to waste time on them, I know because I’ve done it myself.
